Boudh: A huge 40 kg fish was caught from Mahanadi river by a local fisherman in Odisha’s Boudh district on Saturday.
According to reports, Sripati Behera, a local fisherman of Tutusinga village, had gone fishing in the morning when the monster fish was caught in his net.
As word spread, people from nearby areas thronged the river bank to catch a glimpse of the giant fish.
The cost of the 40-kg fish, locally known as ‘Kana Buda’, will be around Rs 10,000.
The fish was taken to the nearby market for sale.
