More Areas Declared Micro-Containment Zones In Bhubaneswar; Details Here

Bhubaneswar: More areas in the capital city have been declared micro-containment zones on Wednesday following detection of multiple COVID-19 cases.

Five areas in the southeast zone of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and four in the south west zone have been declared micro-containment zones.

The areas are as follows:

Plot No-539 Saheed Nagar, Ward No-30

B-3 Jharapada, Ward No-32

Plot No-147, Laxmi Sagar, Ward No-43

Plot No-1577/2568 Palas Palli, Ward No-53

Tanka Pani Road, Lane-4, Ward No-58

In South West Zone

Bank of India zonal office Jayadev Vihar, Ward No-27

Plot no.737/4, Jayadev Vihar, Ward No-27

Plot No-86, Surya Nagar, Ward No-46

Flat No-222B, Brundaban Garden, Khandagiri, Ward No-49

On Tuesday, the civic body had declared 16 more micro-containment zones to check the spread of the virus.

Notably, the number of micro-containment zones in Bhubaneswar has crossed the 100-mark since it was hit by the third wave of the COVID pandemic earlier this month.

The city has over 4622 active cases and 803 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
