Berhampur: With the number of COVID-19 patients rising every day, Ganjam district administration has decided to provide 1150 more beds in five COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and three Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHCs).
The five CCCs are the IPD of BPH College and Hospital, Berhampur (50 beds); OBAV, Patrapur (100 beds); OBAV, Sanakhemundi (100 beds); Boys and Girls Hostel, Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Nilakantheswar Nagar, Berhampur (500 beds) and Leprosy Hospital Building, Aska (150 beds).
The three DCHC that are to have more beds are Girls Hostel, Biju Patnaik Homeopathy College, Berhampur (50 beds); Amit Hospital, Gate Bazar, Berhampur (100 beds) and SDH, Aska (100 beds).
The district administration has appointed the Nodal Medical Officer and Nodal Administrative Officers to look after the clinical and day to day management, quarantine facilities, diet and other logistic arrangements at these centres.
