Bhubaneswar: More rain is in store for the state as a fresh low-pressure area is very likely to form over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal (BOB) around October 9.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday said the low-pressure system is likely to move north-westwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts with gradual intensification into a depression during the subsequent two days.
Under the impact of the system, several parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh will experience enhanced rainfall activity between October 11 and 13.
The met office has also forecast moderate thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places in north Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya during the next 12 hours.
