Bhubaneswar: Even as rain lashed the Odisha capital on Tuesday afternoon, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a similar weather condition will prevail till 6 pm.
Light to moderate thundershower is likely in some parts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapada, Jagatsingpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack( including Cuttack city), Nayagarh, Anugul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nuapara, Balangir, Kandhamal, Bargarh and Sambalpur in the next two hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
