More Rainfall In Odisha In Next 12 Hours: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Some parts of the coastal and interior districts of Odisha will experience moderate rainfall or thunderstorms with lightning in the next 12 hours under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.

The rainfall activity will continue till October 4, a mid-day IMD bulletin said.

According to the bulletin, moderate rainfall or thunderstorm with lightning will occur at one or two places over the districts of  Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on October 2, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Sonepur, Gajapati and Rayagada districts on October 3 and Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapada districts on October 4.

However, there was no warning for fishermen from venturing into the sea till October 5, the bulletin added.
