Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has directed district and session judges to commence morning session for all lower courts in Odisha from April 8. This is being done in view of the gradual rise in temperatures.
All lower courts and Bar Associations of the regions concerned have been informed about the schedule through a notification issued by the Orissa High Court Registry on Friday.
According to the notification, the court work will start from 7am and continue till 1pm, with a half-an-hour break from 10am to 10.30am.
However, work in all lower courts in Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Bhubaneswar, Koraput Sadar and Puri Sadar will start as usual from 10am, the notification said, adding that the morning session will continue till the onset of monsoon.
