The deceased has been identified as Kailash Majhi (17), a Class X student of Swami Vivekananda High School here.
According to available information, Kailash was the son of Satyanarayan Majhi, a resident of Panigaan village. He had gone for a morning walk from Dumermunda to Bijamara.
Some persons informed about his death at his house at around 8 am.
Kailash used to go for morning walk regularly with three of his friends, but he went alone this morning at around 4 am.
The body has been seized by cops for autopsy. A dog squad will arrive from Bhawanipatna to conduct an inspection at the murder spot, police sources informed.
However, the family members of Kailash told police that he had no enmity with anyone.
