Moscow: An unidentified woman, who was carrying a homemade bomb, was among three people killed in a blast outside an Italian restaurant in central Moscow on Saturday evening. At least 21 others sustained injures, said the Russian authorities as cited by India Today.
The blast occurred near the Balzi Rossi Italian restaurant. It is located inside one of Moscow’s seven iconic Stalin-era skyscrapers.
According to Russia’s Anti-Terrorism Committee, the woman attempted to enter the restaurant but was stopped by a guard. The bomb detonated moments later.
The area has been sealed off following the explosion.
