Lucknow: The foundation of the Ayodhya mosque complex is likely to be laid on January 26, Republic Day next year. The upcoming mosque is around 20 km away from the Ram Janmabhoomi premises.
The mosque trust, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) will unveil the blueprint for the proposed mosque and other constructions on December 19. The blueprint of the mosque and other facilities, including multi-speciality hospital, community kitchen and library has been finalised by mosque’s chief architect Professor SM Akhtar, The New Indian Express (TNIE) reported quoting sources.
Other features:
- It will have the capacity to house 2000 namazis at a given time
- The structure will be round in shape
- It will be bigger than the demolished Babri mosque
- A multi-speciality hospital will be one of the main structures on the complex
- Like the mosque, it will be adorned with calligraphy and Islamic Aayats
- The hospital is likely to have 300 beds where free treatment will be provided to those who are suffering.
