Bhubaneswar: For Bhubaneswar-based Sikha Gayatri, dreams must come in bigger sizes so that they let her grow into them. Winner of Mrs Odisha 2021 beauty pageant, Gayatri sees no harm in cultivating dreams that may seem over-ambitious but can be attained with sheer determination at a steady pace. That’s what the mother of a one-and-a-half-year-old believed all through her life!
Taking baby steps towards transforming her dreams into reality, she won her debut title in the world of glamour and beauty at the state-level beauty pageant organised by Kalanjali Artistery Trust.
She was crowned by Bollywood actor Upen Patel and television star Shafaaq Naaz at a gala finale, comprising eight finalists in three different categories from various districts of Odisha.
A banker by profession, Gayatri feels women are better at switching between tasks and shuffling through roles. “Time management skills come naturally to women. They know how to set priorities in life. So, it isn’t difficult for me to take up multiple tasks at the same time,” she says.
Interestingly, Gayatri had to face similar questions on multi-tasking during the question and answer round at the beauty contest.
A fitness freak, Gayatri advises women to indulge in self-love and care to fulfil their dreams. After delivering all her duties throughout the day, she believes in devoting a few moments to herself. When it comes to beauty, she insists that one shouldn’t endorse the stereotyped ideas about beauty and look for perfection.
For her, true beauty lies in the heart.
