Mother-Son Duo Electrocuted In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In a tragic incident, a mother-son duo got electrocuted in Bhograi area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Jayanti Sethy (57) and her son Kartik Sethy (35) of Bhograi.

According to sources, Kartik was cutting an iron rod attached to a poultry enclosure with a cutter. However, the iron rod was charged with electricity after a wire connecting the coop came in contact with the iron material.

As a result, the 35-year-old man got the electric shock. Seeing her son’s condition, Jayanti rushed to rescue him. In the process, she also got electrocuted.

The two were immiditately taken to Jaleswarpur Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition, but the doctors declared both dead.
