Mother’s Day: Lucknow Super Giants Players’ Heart-Warming Tribute To ‘Maa’

Mumbai: As India celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, players of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) paid tribute to the special person for their efforts and sacrifices in a unique way.

Skipper KL Rahul and his teammates displayed special jerseys with the names of their mothers printed in orange below the jersey number.

The IPL franchise shared a video of the players’ special kits ahead of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday.

“This one’s for you, Maa.” Now THAT’s how you prepare for Mother’s Day — the #SuperGiant way!” read the caption with the video.

In another video, LSG players Rahul, Krunal Pandya, Quinton de Kock, Ravi Bishnoi, Ayush Badoni and Manish Pandey are seen wishing their mothers and thanking them for supporting them and making them what they are today.


Debutants LSG, who thrashed KKR by 75 runs yesterday, are on top of the IPL 2022 standings with 16 points from 11 matches, having won 8 and lost 3.
