Bhubaneswar: Mother of a minor boy has appealed for help to trace her son, who went missing 6 days ago in Bhubaneswar.
The 11-year-old boy Dillip Shabar went missing on February 9 while playing near his home at Shantipalli Basti under Sahid Nagar police limits. His mother
, Sunita Shabar, has lodged a missing complaint with the local police.
Speaking to a local news channel, Sunita said, “My son sometimes used to hide from me after committing a mistake, fearing I would beat him.” She recalled an earlier incident where Dillip had hidden overnight at a Hanuman temple, only to be brought back by locals. “I had stopped hitting him as he would get scared. This time, I have not been able to locate him. I appeal to the police to find my missing son at the earliest and bring him home,” said the mother, who stays in the slum with her husband and three children, including Dillip.
Police are yet to issued any public statement on the incident.
