Mumbai: Days after announcing her separation from husband Suraj Nambiar, actor Mouni Roy made a striking appearance at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, grabbing attention in a stylish monochrome outfit.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Mouni shared a carousel of images with the caption, “Cannes and chaos! Bonjour x.”
For her appearance at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, timed alongside the presentation of her project ‘Bombay Stories’, Mouni chose an outfit that blended elegance with a bold contemporary vibe.
She wore a sharply tailored black mini dress featuring a striking white halter-style collar that created a dramatic contrast. Layering the outfit, Mouni carried an oversized black trench coat draped over her shoulders.
She completed the look with sheer patterned black stockings and pointed black leather boots.
Her hair was tied into a neat centre-parted bun, while her makeup remained soft and sophisticated with smoky eyes, contoured cheeks and a nude matte lip shade.
While her earlier Cannes appearances, in 2023 and 2025, were known for their dramatic high-fashion moments, this year’s appearance were more restrained and reflective.

Mouni’s BFF Disha Patani posted, “Let’s go, girl.”
On May 14, Mouni and Suraj issued a joint statement confirming their separation and requested ‘privacy and dignity’.
