Dhenkanal: A moving car was reduced to ashes as it caught fire early on Thursday near Toradanali Balipasi Bandha under Jhili panchayat of Kankadahada block in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. However, no injuries have been reported.
Fire Department personnel from Kankadahada and Parjang reached the spot and doused the fire.
Mahabirod police also reached the spot and began an investigation.
According to sources, there were four persons in the car including the driver when it went up in flames. But they managed to escape.
The incident caused a traffic jam on Mahabirod-Gadaphalasuni Road and normalised after the fire was doused.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
