MRI Scan Launched In Bhubaneswar’s Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das inaugurated the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan facility at Capital Hospital here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Das said the state government has been on a mission to provide world standard healthcare facilities to the patients. With the launch of MRI scan facility at Capital Hospital, the patients, particularly of the economically weaker section, can now avail the facility for free. The facility would be extended to other hospitals in future, he added.

The facility, which is first of its kind in the state, has been provided at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore.

It has been launched on PPP (Public-Private Partnership) mode. The government had signed an MoU with Manipal HealthMap Diagnostics Pvt Ltd in this regard in March.
