Mumbai: ‘Queen’ actress Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday slammed Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh for apparently liking a derogatory comment against her on social media.
Kangana accused the commissioner for “encouraging public teasing and bullying” against her.
“Liking derogatory tweets about people who are fighting against the murderers of Sushant, instead of condemning public teasing and bullying like this @CPMumbaiPolice is encouraging it, @MumbaiPolice has hit all-time low … SHAME !!” tweeted the actress.
A user, in response to the original tweet, suggested putting an image of Kangana instead of just using her name. Apparently, the commissioner liked the comment.
Sharing screenshots of the same, Kangana wrote, “When @CPMumbaiPolice is openly intimidating me like this, encouraging bullying and crime against me, will I be safe in Mumbai ? Who is responsible for my safety? @PMOIndia.”
However, Mumbai Police denied that the Commissioner liked any such tweet.
“This tweet has never been liked by the Mumbai Police Commissioner — the cyber police station has been asked to examine the screenshot,” said Mumbai Police.
