Mumbai: In a major breakthrough in the Salman Khan threat letter case, Mumbai police have identified the men who handed the letter to his father Salim Khan, ANI reported.
The threat letter was delivered to Salim Khan by Vikram Barad, an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This was revealed during the interrogation of Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble alias Mahakal, also a member of Bishnoi’s gang.
“Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issued the letter to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. Three people from his gang had come from Jalore, Rajasthan, to Mumbai to drop the letter and had met accused Saurabh Mahakal,” the police said, adding that all accused will be arrested soon.
Bishnoi had earlier vowed to kill Salman after the actor was accused in the black buck poaching case of 1998 in Rajasthan.
Salim (87) was handed the threat letter by an unknown person on a bench where he normally rests after jogging at the Bandra Bandstand promenade.
