Mumbai: In an interesting innovation, Mumbai Police has used a Bollywood reference to create awareness about COVID-19 protocols.
The official Instagram handle of Mumbai Police has shared an image and a dialogue from Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘83’ to drive home the importance of wearing masks to be safe from the coronavirus.
Borrowing the line ‘He doesn’t know defence’, Mumbai Police wrote in their post: “When you don’t wear your mask in spite of ‘83’ million reminders.”
The Kabir Khan-directed movie is based on India’s first World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev’s life and journey to the pinnacle of cricket. After several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘83’ will be released on December 24. The trailer of the film was released two days ago, from which Mumbai Police has picked up the line.
Mumbai Police has used funny references from films like ‘Stree’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’ on its Twitter handle to highlight social matters in the past.
