Mumbai Residents Made To Do Sit-Ups For Loitering During Coronavirus Lockdown

Mumbai: Policemen forced a group of people here to do sit-ups in Kalyan area after they were found to be loitering outside without reason amid the lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The police action against the violators came on Monday. Also in Kalyan, police booked 30 shops for violating the lockdown orders.

With 97 confirmed COVID 19 cases, Maharashtra has been the worst-hit state in India.

The total number of deaths due to the virus has reached 10 in the country.
