Mumbai: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is on two-day visit to Mumbai, met Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani in the financial capital of the country on Monday.
“CM met with Mukesh Ambani to discuss the strengths of Odisha as an investment destination, and the future investment plans of Reliance Industries Limited in the state,” a government statement said.
Naveen, who flew to Mumbai this morning, was expected to meet some of the top industrialists during an Odisha Investors Meet at 3. 30 pm. He will be felicitated for Odisha’s contribution to the development of sports at 2023 Sportstar Aces Awards function, which will begin at 6 pm.
Notably, the state has received global appreciation for hosting FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup twice and has been hailed for its support for Hockey. It also achieved the feat of building the world’s largest hockey stadium – the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, with a 20,000 seating capacity in Rourkela in a record 15 months.
