Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has finalised delimitation of wards and reservation of seats for the municipal corporations of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur ahead of elections to urban local bodies (ULBs).
The state Housing & Urban Development Department has issued a notification in this regard.
The Mayor post for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) have been reserved for women. The Mayor post for Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is unreserved.
The BMC has been divided into 67 wards, 38 of which are reserved for women, SCs and STs.
The CMC has been divided into 59 wards, 33 of which are reserved for women, SCs and STs.
The BeMC has been divided into 42 wards, 23 of which are reserved for women, SCs and STs.
