Dhenkanal: A businessman, who happened to be the prime accused in a murder case, was allegedly shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Kamakhyanagar area of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Nirakar Sahu, a resident of Kantioput sahi in Tumusinga. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was dealing in minor minerals.
Police recovered his body near Malabandha railway overbridge in Alatuma village under the jurisdiction of Kamakhyanagar police limits. Apart from the bullet injury on his body, his neck was severely wounded, sources said.
