Bhubaneswar: Five days after arresting Manas Das, the head of the Manavbad Sangathan, police raided his house in the city on Tuesday.
Two special teams of Khurda Police led by SDPO Sushil Mishra raided the house of Das in Saheed Nagar and seized some photos and banners of the Sangathan.
Talking to mediapersons, the SDPO said efforts are on to ascertain whether the Sangathan has been registered under the Societies Registration Act. Besides, investigation is underway into its financial transaction.
Notably, the police had arrested Manas Das and his son Manoranjan after picking them up from their house on September 2.
While Manas has been arrested for his alleged involvement in murder of Satyabrata Nayak of Abhimanpur village on August 2, his son has been arrested for the brutal thrashing of Maguni Nayak and his son Anand Nayak of Kadaba village after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
