Bhubaneswar: Nayapally police recovered the body of a man from inside a box kept inside a horticulture farm on Sunday morning.
Dilip Sahu of Kantilo area in Nayagarh district worked at a flour mill in the old BDA market complex near the Rental Colony in Nayapally.
Some workers at the horticulture farm found his body inside a box and informed the police, which rushed with a scientific team for an on-the-spot investigation.
Circumstantial evidence shows the assailants, after killing Sahu, dragged his body to the flour mill’s roof-top. Later, they packed the body inside a box and threw it behind a house on the farm premises. The police also found blood stains on the staircase leading to the rooftop.
Some residents said that /the deceased had a tiff with some youths on Saturday night.
Traders in the area said the flour mill was in the old BDA market complex, which has become a den of narcotics, being frequented by some residents and anti-social elements.
