‘Musafir Cafe’ Fame Vedika Pinto To Star Opposite Lakshya In Psychological Thriller

New Delhi: Vedika Pinto has been making waves since her appearance in Netflix’s ‘Musafir Cafe’, which also starred Vikrant Massey and Mahima Makwana.

She is now set to share screen space with ‘Chand Mera Dil’ actor Lakshya in filmmaker Prosit Roy’s upcoming untitled psychological drama.

Prosit’s previous series, ‘Raakh’, received considerable appreciation from viewers, making his next project an intriguing one to watch out for.

The untitled film promises a fresh take on romance, combining a love story with psychological elements.

It will also mark the first collaboration between Vedika and Lakshya, adding to the anticipation around the project.

Meanwhile, Vedika has another reason to celebrate, with Netflix officially renewing ‘Musafir Cafe’ for a second season.

The announcement comes just days after the romantic drama premiered on the streaming platform, with its emotional ending sparking conversations among viewers on social media.

The new season will see Vikrant, Vedika and Mahima reprise their respective lead roles. Netflix confirmed the renewal on Wednesday through an official press note.

Sharing the announcement, Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, said, “Musafir Cafe has captured the hearts of audiences all over. The conversations about the show have hijacked the Internet with debates about the ending and what lies ahead, the dialogues, the characters and the music. Romance as a genre when done right captures hearts and conversations like no other genre does. We are bullish about building this genre, like we built comedy for our members. And I’m happy to announce Musafir Cafe S02 will be an integral part of that slate. We can’t wait to take this tale of love and longing into its next exciting phase.”

The first season ended on an open note, leaving a major question unanswered.

Instead of offering a definitive conclusion, the finale showed Chander caught between his past and present, leaving viewers wondering what decision he would make next.
