Salim-Sulaiman took back with them pleasant memories of the beauty of Odisha, especially the Sun Temple at Konark after their recent visit to the state.
They were here to perform at the Marine Drive Eco Retreat, organised by Odisha Tourism at Konark. Needless to say, the performance was a huge success and the duo had the audience rocking to their numbers.
They were all praise for the state and said, “A beautiful state with monuments like Konark. Odisha Tourism has done a great job.”
Salim was all praise for their experience in Odisha, the warmth and musical sensibility of the people of the state.
“I had read about the Sun Temple but I now understand the reason for its glory and remember how it was built with around 1200 artisans carving every nook and cranny of the temple with the finest art. It is not surprising that the Sun Temple is in UNESCO’s heritage list as one of the oldest and top most historical monuments,” said Salim Merchant.
