Jharsuguda: The mutilated body of a woman was found at Bhatlama village of Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda on Sunday.
Locals spotted the woman lying dead along the road in the morning and informed the police.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
Since the woman had sustained multiple head injuries, it is being suspected that she was battered with a stone.
The police have detained the of the woman husband for interrogation. Further investigation is on.
