Bhubaneswar: The second edition of My City Awards, in recognition individuals and institutions that have contributed to the growth and development of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri were presented in the smart city of Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Among those who received the awards were, Jitendra Kumar Mohanty, founder Swosti Group, Mayfair Hotel, Kalabhoomi- the art & craft museum, Mahendra Kumar Gupta, MD Gupta Power, Anjali Festival (Dr Shruti Mohapatra), Mother’s Public School (Poly Patnaik), Anil Dhir, Raghunath Sasmal, better known as Raghu Dahibara, Soumya Ranjan Biswal and Dilip Kumar Biswal, environmentalists and activists from Puri who have been on a mission to protect Olive Ridley turtles.
Minister of State (independent charge) for Energy, Industries & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) along with additional charges of Minister of State (MoS), Home, Dibya Shankar Mishra was present, besides Minister of Tourism & Culture Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, BJD MLA, Ekamra- Bhubaneswar constituency, Ashok Chandra Panda, former BJD MLA Akash Das Nayak, ace sprinter Dutee Chand, sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik, Chairman, Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC), Kuna Tripathy and IG, Crime Branch, Odisha Police, Arun Bothra.
