‘My Name Is An Easy Target’: Norah Fatehi Issues Statement In Dawood-Linked Drug Racket

Mumbai: After her name surfaced in the Dawood Ibrahim-linked drug party investigation, Nora Fatehi issued a statement stating she won’t take false allegations lightly and that her name has become an easy target.

“FYI I DONT go to Parties.. Im constantly on flights.. Im a work holic, i dont have a personal life.. I dont associate myself with people like that.. and on my off days im at home on a beach in dubai or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals! Dont believe anything you read! It seems like my name is an easy target! but i wont allow it to happen this time! It happened once before, you guys tried to destroy me with LIES and it didnt work.. i watched silently as everyone tried their best to slander my name, smear my reputation and use me as clickbait! Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully,” Nora wrote on her Instagram Stories.

The remand copy of the drug racket busted by Mumbai Police, accessed by India Today TV, mentions Nora’s name along with actor Shraddha Kapoor, Orry and Alishah Parkar among others.

“Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties,” the remand copy reads.

“The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people,” it alleged further.

Allegedly run by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh alias Lavish, the high-profile drug parties were organised across India and abroad and were attended by fashion and film celebrities, besides gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew Alishah Parkar, according to a PTI report.

The entire drug-racket was reportedly run from Dubai, where Salim lives.

Mumbai Crime Branch is likely to summon all celebrities named in the case to record their statements.
