Bhanjanagar: Unusual sheep deaths were again reported from Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Monday morning.
According to reports, at least 10 sheep were killed after being attacked by an unidentified animal at Kupati village of the district late on Sunday night
Twelve sheep were also found dead at Badapathar village in the same area the previous night. There were scratch marks on their neck and ears.
Sheep deaths have also been reported from Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts in the recent past.
On Sunday, the residents of Dihasithala village under Niali block in Cuttack district captured a jackal-like canine and claimed that a pack such animals was responsible for sheep deaths in the locality.
