Mystery Shrouds Death Of Ayurvedic Doctor In Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: An Ayurvedic doctor was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a rented house in Odisha’s Balangir town on Thursday.

As per reports, the Ayurvedic doctor, Raj Bhardwaj serving in Nabarangpur, had taken the house of Radha Govind Patnaik of Rajiv Nagar in the town on rent. He took possession of the house on Wednesday and moved in with bags and baggage at night.

But the doctor did not open the door of his rented house till afternoon on Thursday. The house owner knocked on the door locked from inside to enquire about him for a long time but did not get any response. Suspecting some foul play, he informed the Balangir Town police station.

A police team in presence of the magistrate broke open the door of the house and found Dr Bhardwaj lying dead on a bed. The police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

The police have registered an unnatural death case and launched an investigation. The cause of the death would be known after getting the post-mortem report, the police said.
