Mystery Shrouds Death Of Class X Student Inside Hostel In Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: A Class X student was found dead in his hostel room under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Monday.

The student, Biswa Bhusan Swain of Gopinathpur village under Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station, was pursuing his studies while staying in a private hostel at Gopalsagar for the last 7 months. The hostel staff found him lying dead on the bed in his room in the morning and informed the police and his father Bibhuti Bhusan Swain.

A team from Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station went to the hostel and sent the body for post-mortem. They have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation.

Bibhuti told the media that he had gone to meet his son on Sunday. They spent some time together. “I did not find him disturbed or under pressure due to the studies. He was all right when I met him. I cannot accept that he committed suicide,” he said.

He has filed a complaint at the police station alleging that his son was murdered. The police said the cause of death would be known after getting the post-mortem report.
