Mystery Shrouds Death Of Married Man & Girl In Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada: A man and a girl were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a village of Odisha’s Rayagada district on Saturday.

The locals found them in a pool of blood on a roadside between Ushapada and Mundagaon villages under Tikiri police limits of Kasipur block in the morning and informed the police. The two persons were identified as Rasika Pradhan of Mundagaon and Rima Majhi of Sanamatikana village.

The police rushed to the spot and sent Rasika and Rima, who were unconscious, to primary health centre at Tikiri. But both of them declared dead by the doctors of the hospital. The police, who found a blood-stained knife from the spot, have registered a case and launched an investigation.

According to sources, Rasika was married and has three children. He and Rima were in a relationship for some time. It is suspected that Rasika first killed Rima and then slit his own throat.
