Koraput: A school student was found dead on the roof of his house under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday.
As per reports, Sibasish Nayak, a Class VII student of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir at Parabeda in Jeypore of the district, had returned home after appearing at school examination in the afternoon and gone to the roof of his house.
As he did not come down for a long time, his mother and siter went to the roof where they found Sibasish lying unconscious with froth coming out of his mouth. They rushed him to the local hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
On being informed, a team from Jeypore Town police station went to the hospital and registered a case of unnatural death.
The deceased student’s father Gadadhar Nayak said some anti-social elements of Pasrabeda had demanded Rs 1,000 and warned of dire consequences, if he told anybody about this. Sibasish had also taken the money from his father’s pocket without informing him. Later, when Gadadhar asked him about the money, Sibasish revealed the incident, the reports quoted him.
