Puri: A tourist died under mysterious circumstances at Konark Eco-Retreat in Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
According to sources, the tourist, identified as Md Alam Hussain of Patia in Bhubaneswar, had booked a cottage at the eco-retreat. He along with his wife had gone to the eco-retreat on Saturday and stayed in the cottage.
On Sunday afternoon, Hussain fell ill and was rushed to the community health centre (CHC) at Gop, near Konark. But the doctors in the hospital declared him brought dead.
On being informed, the police went to the CHC and sent the body for post-mortem. They have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation.
While the police said the cause of Hussain’s death would be known after getting the post-mortem report, Husssain’s family aid he was diabetic.
