Puri: Protesting the demolition of Languli Mutt, hundreds of Naga Sadhus on Friday staged a demonstration in front of the Simhadwara of the Jagannath Temple in Puri.
Stating that the Naga culture is closely associated with the century-old tradition of the Jagannath Temple, Naga Sadhu Digambara Janakpuri Biswambhar Maharaj said the state government has stopped the ‘Dhuni’ tradition of the Nagas by demolishing the Gadi of the mutt.
Requesting the intervention of the chief minister, he said the state government should find a place in the temple periphery for the construction of the Languli Mutt.
