Puri: Amid the public outrage over the missing of two Nagarjuna Besha ornates, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday made it clear that all the items used for the Nagarjuna Besha of the Lord are intact.
In a release, the temple administration said the temple commander had submitted a list of items for Nagarjuna Besha. On the basis of the list, the temple administration had received the items. However, the artisans had made two sets of Chandra and Surya from thermocol. As it was decided that the two items will be made of gold, the administration had rejected the two sets of the items and allowed the two servitors to take those.
Maintaining that all the items used for the Nagarjuna Besha are in safe custody, the temple administration said these items are kept in Niladri Vihar museum for the devotees who were deprived of darshan of the Lord in the temple due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
