Bhubaneswar: For the first time since its inception, the National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has put into operation all the 960 pots at its smelter plant in Angul district.
Calling it a major achievement, CMD, Nalco, Sridhar Patra congratulated the entire team of the Central PSU after switching on the 960th pot virtually from Nalco’s corporate office at Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
“In course of its journey for the last 41 years, the company finally achieved operation of 100% of pots in the aluminium smelter plant for the first time,” Patra said.
He complimented all stakeholders for their support which has helped Nalco move from strength to strength and wished further success to the company.
Radhashyam Mahapatro, director (HR), Manasa Prasad Mishra, director (P&T), Bijay Kumar Das, director (Production) and senior executives were present, according to a release of the company.
