NALCO Director Radhashyam Mahapatro Suspended On Disciplinary Grounds

New Delhi: The Ministry of Mines has suspended Director (HR), NALCO, Radhashyam Mahapatro on disciplinary grounds.

In an exchange filing, the Bhubaneswar-based National Aluminium Company Limited on Thursday said it has been informed by the Ministry about suspension of Mahapatro with immediate effect.

‘NALCO has been informed by the Ministry of Mines vide order dated 13.03.2024, the Competent Authority in the exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 23 of NALCO Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules, 1984, has placed Radhashyam Mahapatro, Director (HR), under suspension with immediate effect.”

Director (Projects & Technical) Jagdish Arora has been assigned additional charge of Director (HR) for the suspension period or until further orders,whichever is the earliest, it added.

Mahapatro joined the Navratna Company as Director (HR) in 2020. He earlier served as Director (Personnel) in Central Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd.
