Angul: The Lean Slurry Project of National Aluminium Company (Nalco) was inaugurated in the district on Wednesday.
Secretary, Ministry of Mines Alok Tandon inaugurated the project which will ensure 100% utilisation of ash generated at the company’s Captive Power Plant (CPP) and mark a big step towards environment-friendly and sustainable operations.
Tandon, accompanied by Nalco’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sridhar Patra also visited the Smelter and Captive Power Plants of the company at Angul.
Tandon appreciated the efforts of Nalco in achieving the targets amidst a challenging business environment. He also interacted with officials and employees and told them to maintain the tempo of production and productivity.
