Mumbai: Ace batsman Virat Kohli’s early dismissal on the first day of the fifth and final Test against Australia in Sydney left scores of cricket enthusiasts disappointed, one among them being Nana Patekar.
Expressing his admiration for the cricketer, Nana revealed that when Virat gets out, he doesn’t feel like eating.
“Virat is my favourite player. If he gets out early, I don’t feel like eating. That’s how much I care about cricket,” said the veteran actor.
Drawing a comparison between cricket and movies, he added, “Our exams are similar. Cricketers’ games last five days, but ours stretch to one-and-a-half to two years, and the public decides the result.”
Nana’s revelation about his love for Virat sparked a meme fest on social media.
Here’s how the netizens reacted:
Virat, who has struggled to get a big score since scoring a century in the first Test at Perth, managed 17 before snicking a ball from Scott Boland to Aussie debutant Beau Webster.
