Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate police has decided to declare the busy 19-km stretch from Nandankanan to Biju Patnaik International Airport here as ‘no tolerance’ zone.
“Any kind of traffic rule violations on this particular route will not be tolerated,” said Twin City Commissioner of Police Sudhanshu Sarangi.
Major squares under flyovers in the Odisha capital will be included under ‘no tolerance’ zone, he added.
“We will hold regular discussions with different agencies of state and central governments to ease out traffic problems,” he said.
Around 120 young traffic personnel will be appointed by the end of this month to tackle traffic violators, he added.
