Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoo and Botanical Garden will remain temporarily closed for visitors from December 30 to January 3 as a precautionary measure to check the spread of COVID and its new variant Omicron.
On the day, the zoo celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day. On this special occasion, an Indian pangolin has been released into the forest. Also, six tiger cubs were named as Sohini, Abhay, Bibek, Rocky, Banshi and Rakesh. The names were given following the recommendation of the visitors.
