Bhubaneswar: Entry to Nandankanan Zoo near Bhubaneswar has been made easier with the launch of digital booking of tickets.
Forest and Environment Minister Pradeep Amat inaugurated the online ticket booking facility at a function on Saturday.
With this, visitors do not need to stand in long queue in front of the ticket counter at the zoo. Under the new facility, one can book the entry ticket to the zoological park from his device using the WhatsApp number 7871844856.
The ticket, which can be booked on WhastApp in three languages, will remain valid for one day. In order to book the entry ticket to the zoo, one can scan the QR code or send message to the phone number.
This is reportedly for the first time that a WhatsApp-based ticket booking system has been launched for any zoo in the country.
