Bhubaneswar: The Congress party on Monday constituted an election management committee for the upcoming urban and panchayat elections in Odisha.
The 20-member committee is headed by Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Narasingha Mishra while Jangeswar Babu is the convenor.
OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik, in a press release, said apart from the management of the two elections, the committee will decide the candidates including the mayor for the urban civic body polls.
The district committees of the party have been requested to send their lists of candidates to the PCC or chairman or convenor of the committee for the final decision.
The party has selected the following as members of the committee:
