Bhubaneswar: Passengers of an Ama Bus had a narrow escape after vehicle caught fire near Kalinga Studio Square in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.
As per sources, the incident occurred while the bus was operating between Sum Hospital
and Bhubaneswar Railway Station. While the bus was completely gutted in the fire, all passengers escaped safely, officials said.
Passengers noticed smoke emanating from the vehicle around 6.40 am near Kalinga Studio Square. They immediately alighted from the bus sensing danger. Within minutes, the fire engulfed the vehicle, triggering panic in the area.
After receiving information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control. No casualties or injuries were reported.
While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident.
