National Film Awardee Atul Kulkarni To Essay Lead Role In ‘Patnagarh’

The bi-lingual film that will be produced both in Odia and Telegu will feature acclaimed Marathi and Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni playing Crime Branch IG Arun Bothra’s role. Popular Odia actor Manoj Mishra will essay the part of Punjilal Meher,  the prime accused in the case. Award-winning Telegu filmmaker Rajesh Touchriver will direct the thriller.

Kulkarni is a national film award recipient for best supporting roles in ‘Chandni Bar’ and ‘Hey Ram’ apart from major roles in dozens of other films including ‘ Page 3’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’

The parcel bomb blast that killed a newly married man and his grandmother had rocked the state in recent months. The complex revenge plot had foxed investigators for quite some time before a Crime Branch SIT finally cracked it.
