Chennai: Odisha were on a goal-scoring spree in the league stage of the 14th Hockey India Senior Men’s National Championship as they qualified for the quarterfinals by topping Group E.
Odisha dismissed the challenge of Rajasthan (11-1), Puducherry (6-2) and Arunachal Pradesh (9-0), pumping in 26 goals in 3 matches while conceding 3.
The eight pool toppers qualified for the knockout stage. In the quarterfinal, Odisha will face Karnataka.
The other last-eight clashes are — Punjab vs Manipur, Haryana vs Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu vs Uttar Pradesh.
All quarterfinals will be played on November, the semifinals are scheduled on November 16 and the grand finale and third-place match on November 16.
